Introduction

Prior to the establishment of this Animal Service Training Center, the Animal Development Project Resource Center was established on 13th Bhadra 2037 with the multilateral support of the Nepal Government, Asian Development Bank, UNDP, European Common Market and Australian Development Bureau. The project also had a training wing. Since the term of the project is only till 2044 Ashadh, after the end of the term, the training branch in the resource center was named as a regional training center under the Central Training and Dissemination Center under the Government of Nepal, Department of Animal Development and Animal Health. Thus, after the establishment of the regional training center, its working area was in nine districts of this development area namely Dhanusha, Mahotari, Sarlahi, Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Sindhuli, Makwanpur and Chitwan.
